Photo by Andrew Synowiez The Loreleis assisted in opening the show at Ben Fold's concert in Durham this past Wednesday night, February 25th. The show was a great success and the Loreleis are thrilled to inform their fans that their recording of "Jesusland" will be featured on Ben Fold's upcoming A Cappella album sponsoring the "Save the Music Foundation". We will update you with information on the album's release when provided. Also, keep an eye out for new photos of the Loreleis recording with Ben Folds and their performance from the other night! Four CARA Nominations!
The Loreleis have been nominated for four awards in the 2009 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards! "We Ride", Meghan Lumsden's rendition of Mary J. Blige's hit that is featured on our newest album, was nominated for Best Hip-Hop/R&B Song. That album, "On the Record", is in the category for Best Female Collegiate Album. "In the Backseat", another song featured on that album, is nominated for the Best Female Collegiate Song. Also, Jillian Bauman has been nominated for Best Female Collegiate Solo with her vocals on "Magic Man"! We are so excited to have so many nominations across this board this year! Wish us luck as we anxiously await the results on April 1st! Elizabeth Wright wins Best Female Collegiate Soloist 2005!!
