The Loreleis is the premier all-female a cappella group at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Serenading the Hill since 1981, the Loreleis is named after the mythical siren that enchanted sailors with her beautiful voice.
We are a nonprofit organization that was established in 1981 and consists of sixteen dedicated undergraduate women. We perform for both campus and community events, release a new album every other year and tour nationally and internationally twice a year. Our repertoire includes a wide variety of styles, such as contemporary pop, R&B, country, alternative, oldies and holiday classics.
Some of our proudest moments include performing at the White House, opening for Jay Leno, and winning 14 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARAs). More highlights from the past decade can be found here!
